Thanxs Bryan for getting back to me.
I tried that command and its comes back as "no command".I am using a keyboard and monitor connected to the pi3.
Currently I want to monitor until I can makeup a cable for the radio.

You can dial one via the SSH connection or with your radio. Short answer:
Via radio is *3xxx (replace the xxx with the node number you want.) For
WINS the node is 2560.
Via SSH on the first prompt you can enter "asterisk -rx "rtp fun yyyyy
*3xxx" " (remove the outside quotes and make the yyyyy your node number and
the xxx the node you want to connect to.
In both examples change the *3 to *1 and it will disconnect that connection
for you.
