[arm-allstar] For wifi configurations, is there a file I'm overlooking?

Hi y'all,

OK...so...I'm setting up/reconfiguring my portable node 29995 after updating to version 1.5 of the software. I *think* I've updated to the latest version as of yesterday, but with this new menuing system with all of its distracting graphic window drawing characters, I can't claim to be 100% sure of that. Gimme lists with numers and stuff :)

So, OK, here's the deal. The hot spot I'm using is the Franklin R850 with FreedomPOP. It was cheap. Oops, no fallback to 3G speeds. Oops. Well, it should be all right for my occasional use scenarios. The problem is that it doesn't appear to have the ability to set DHCP assignments so that I'm sure to have the same address assigned to the node every time, and I've looked everywhere in its interface I can think of. So, I modified the /etc/netctl/wlan0-FreedomPOP_blahblahblahblah configuration file to a static address when it connects. I did the thing to have netctl start this as a service on startup. After a reboot, however, I'm still getting a DHCP-assigned address from the hot spot and not the address I specified.

Is there another file that's being processed that overrides the use of netctl? Or some other thing I'm missing completely?

FWIW, I tried using netctl-auto once, and that also didn't seem to respect the netctl configurations. I can't help but think the two things are related.

Can someone put me on the right track?
