Hal,

Just to confirm, you are seeing the correct DTMF for each key you press on
the radio in the Asterisk client?? It should look like this (order does not
matter) -

If you are getting that and you have not changed anything in the rpt.conf
functions section or directed the functions to the wrong place in the
rpt/conf node section it should certainly work. Have you changed anything
from the setup in your rpt.conf file?
