Doug, this is the same problem I was having earlier. I loaded a fresh image
and the problem was gone. I'm using Windows 7 Professional and PuTTY.

There is a howto on the hamvoip.org web page. All you need to know is your
password. Make sure your password is set in iax.conf - secret= - as you
set it in the setup of your node.

Direct link to howto -

Aloha,

Having a problem on the wireless setup script in V1.5

When it finishes scanning for wifi connections, it just reverts back to the
main menu. I'm not the only one having the problem. I just spoke to AC7N
down on the big island and he is having the same problem only his works
occasionally. When his does work, It can't see the wireless hotspot on his
I-phone.

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this. These are both portable nodes

73 & Aloha

Jim,

Not questioning it is happening to you but I have not seen that happen here
nor has it been reported before. My thoughts are you are hitting return or a
key twice (key bounce) and it is possibly being buffered and executed on
the next screen. When you say returns to the menu - do you meant he wireless
menu or admin menu?

James, are you on windows or mac? What program do you use to connect to the
node? (Or is this happening on a monitor and a keyboard?)

I use Terminal on MAC and I am able to get through those screens and set the
configuration. I can jump on TeamViewer if you want. (not to take Doug's
invite)
