[arm-allstar] re App_rpt recompile for rxnotch

Under normal Allstar activity that should very rarely happen. ID's are 10 minutes, No one should talk more than about 2.5 minutes usually much less, and they should leave at least 3 seconds pause after CT. If your timers are set correctly it won't happen. I have a repeater connected in just that way, output follows input, connected remotely to Allstar. I never hear ID's over Allstar and no one on the repeater frequency does either unless they are using noise squelch.

Having the output tone follow the input tone, and transmitting IDs with no tone works to keep the repeater quiet when the link is already quiet.
However, if the link is active with traffic and needs to force an ID to remain legal the rx notch filter would remove the transmitted ID so it would not be mixed with the operators voice.

Duane,
My confusion was that we are NOT DIAL nor associated with it. You seem to make that connection. It turns out that the notch code dates way back but has not been implemented in awhile. It requires a great deal of CPU to perform and would probably be detrimental to use on the small boards. It also is part of app_rpt not usb radio my mistake.
Our updated channel driver in the upcoming version 2.0 will have the capability to do audio processing so that would replace any former notch code and be tremendously more efficient.
In the meantime If you have access I would try to implement the method I suggested of have the remote PL on input only to eliminate tail ID's. It would be a much cleaner way to do it if it would work for you.

Thanks for the feedback Doug. I was following your instructions for setting up my R-Pi2 as a node using the 1.01 image. The image has different file locations than DIAL references for finding the rxnotch.c to include. Because of that, I asked the question as to how to recompile THIS version of DIAL as I can't find what I need on the image. I came to the list to ask about this VERSION of DIAL. This is NOT about USBAUDIO true, but I needed help with the modified version referenced on your site. Sorry for stepping on toes. I'll contact the list when I have SPECIFIC USBAUDIO issues.73,Duane KA1LM
