Neil and others,
The WX scripts are in a transition right now. As soon as things are ironed out we will make an announcement. Until then just assume That some thing do not work.
I might add that doing that the weather scripts are not easy because everybody wants something different and wants a certain sound device or voice to be integrated. In addition the alert format itself is often a moving target. This makes programming and support very complex. Chris has
spent a great deal of time getting the scripts to work as well as they
have and hopefully we will be able to continue that effort. In short it is a lot of work for something you can get in a multitude of other places. It is also a liability issue and we state in no uncertain terms to NOT depend on alerts or forecasts. We in no way are liable for you not getting an alert in a life threatening situation. Again there are many other ways to get them and if you live in an area that is susceptible to life threatening weather situations you should always have a direct means of getting alerts such as a SAME weather radio, Commercial Radio/TV, smartphone etc.

Doug,
Since I am using the Cepstal voice and your modified TTS
script and it works fine playing the NWS and Underground forcast fine.
However the alerts still don't work!
I made sure that the alerts was turned on and the cron
jobs was proper. How do I trouble shoot this?
What files get created and where do they get put? Is
there any way to force and alert test condition to see what is going
on?
Or is there something new that the NWS is doing that is
causing the alert not to go off
Thanks
