Dan,

Good to hear you got it going.

In the original message you sent your simpleusb.conf file and I notice that your rxboost is set to 0. Set it to 1 and restart asterisk - astres.sh - and run simpleusb-tune-menu again. On selection 2 you will find you can turn down the level and fully get 5-6 khz on peaks.

Thanks, Doug! I ran simpleusb-tune and adjusted the levels. The transmit level sounds much better. Had to set it all the way down to about 75 or so. Receive level is up around 900 to even get the level to ever make it half way to 3KHz. I’m hit or miss with getting the scripts to play anything when I run them manually. I think the USB device must be disconnecting or I’m doing something I shouldn’t be doing. I’ve run the sayip.sh script and hear nothing. I unplug the URI and leave it out for a few seconds. Then, plug it back in and I get the sayip.sh audio.

I haven’t been able to send a command from the radio. Either that or I don’t know what I’m doing, again! I’m sending *80 from an HT. Simpleusb is decoding it accurately. But, I don’t get a response. Again, thanks for your help. 73DanW4DTO
