First of all lets be clear that Allstar does NOT need port forwarding. Many who come from the IRLP world have that misconception. Outgoing will work fine without it. For mobile and temporary sites incoming connections would not normally be necessary.

Control can always be established through HDMI and a USB connected keyboard. Also small HDMI monitors for administration are not that expensive, in the $50 area. Another option is a laptop or other computer connected to the same wifi should be able to ssh to the Pi's IP address.

An option would be to have a home or some fixed node that is port forwarded and you would connect to that node and others who want to connect to you would then connect to that node.

Is there a way from the pi2/3 running Allstar to do auto port forwarding request? If I only have Internet access from a free public Internet connection like a public library to connect a node to I'll need a UPD port like 4569 and maybe a ssh port for controll to run a node.
