I did manage to find it partially working.
Maybe there are other parameters in simpleusb.conf that are needed but 
now missing since obsolete? When I use "carrierfrom=usbinvert" I have 
perfect transmit (no vox needed on radio, PTT is keyed by usb) but I 
lose all RX. Even in the tuning menu there is no indicator present.
When I set "carrierfrom=(no, usb, dsp ) I have perfect RX (even perfect 
DTMF decode) but no TX. I am stuck here but it seems so close to being 
functional. Maybe someone can send some pointers? It would be great to 
make use of these for the low cost, and no, the company is long out of 
business.
