Hi Levi,
I'm not sure exactly how you have your remote-base configured. However,
here are the important parts of a solution that works for me. This config
is for dedicated backbone link radios.
In rpt.conf:
[1111] ; Example node 1111, a simplex radio
duplex=0
linktolink=y
hangtime=0
althangtime=0
[nodes]
1111 = radio at 127.0.0.1/1111,NONE,y ; Sample simplex radio node

however, my remote base radio will not transmit if it is receiving a
carrier. Â That is, if I tune my remote base to a local repeater and then
connect to my node from the Allstar Web transceiver, I cannot transmit
into the repeater until the repeater's carrier drops completely and my
remote base radio is not longer detecting a carrier. Â It is as if there
is a TX inhibitor turned on and my remote base node will not allow
Allstar to switch to TX on my remote base radio unless there is silence
(either though squelch or CTCSS). Â Is there an option to permit Allstar
to switch to TX even if a receive carrier is detected?
