Hi Jeff,
There is currently no way that I know of to simulate the Doug Hall style
RBI interface with any RPi2/3 version of the AllStar software. The
current AllStar code (in app_rpt.c) requires a true PC-style parallel
printer port to generate the RBI signaling data. These old interfaces
don't exist for RPi hardware and have gone virtually extinct even on
PC-class hardware.
However, the hamlib tools are installed in the hamvoip release and these
tools can help control a lot of different radios, etc. Also, various forms
of GPIO are available, which might help.
What exactly is your application?

GNU/Linux "3 X URIx usb interfaces plugged directly into the RPi3, 1 each
to a "Kenwood TKR-851"," Kenwood TKR-750" and "Doug Hall RBI-1" all set
to use simple usb.
> Looking for advice from people of knowledge on how to configure GPio
pins from URIx to communicate to RBI and configuration for rpt.conf to
communicate from RPi3 to URIx. I know that i did this successfully with a
similar build using an application on a linux computer application called
"thelinkbox".
