Doug,
Yes, the voltage does return to .5 immediately at the loss of a signal.
BUT.... after talking to Dave again this morning, I'm a bit confused (as
usual).
The COS is in play when David is transmitting TO his simplex node, right?
There is no delay there. Rather, when I (or anyone else) connects to Dave's
node, he has to wait for approximately 10 seconds after I have completed
transmitting to be able to talk. That's on the PTT side of the operation is
it not?
Another strange thing or two Dave mentioned: the very first transmission
after a station connects is fine - there is no delay. All subsequent
transmissions have the delay AND if Dave uses the iax_rpt client into his
node rather than RF, there is no delay...
