Speaking from experience this is an eq problem. My guess is your using speaker audio and has more low end audio frequency responce than high's. This causes the dtmf digit 3 not to be decoded. I solved this issue by running fob's and a rail to rail buffer amp in between the radio and fob. If you want I can send a schematic of my design when I get home.

I created a simplex node and got it working. One weird thing is that when I send DTMF commands, it does not detect the number 3 as seen through the CLI.
Any thoughts?
