[arm-allstar] Pi2 wifi question

I don’t have experience with other digital modes but I frequently use some P25 repeaters. They don't sound too good on my scanner. But on my XTL 5000 the audio is really good. I almost prefer it to analog for it’s clarity and communications quality punch.

One 900 Mhz system around here has a DIU converting P25 to analog and putting that on AllStar. That sounds a WHOLE LOT BETTER than the crappy noise we get on analog 900 around here.

However well built radios, using a well designed format with error correction, and a well designed system that is set up properly can do wonders. That last part is usually what makes or breaks it. Even with well designed commercial systems using a good format, poor setup/programming can make it difficult to listen to.
