[arm-allstar] Ranger functions impact

Hey, David,
We're trying to come up with a scheme that could replace all of our 13 eight
port RLC-3s using BBB's and would allow node addressing that includes the
site and frequency to make it easy for users to remember. Something like
214724 for site 2, repeater on 147.240. And the Ranger question comes up
when we hit site 9. All nodes in this scheme would be private and not
exposed to the Allstar network.
And the system would be carefully architected to only allow Allstar users
access at limited points, using node numbers that conform to Allstar
convention.
Cole, AA7RD
Looking forward to getting back to Wilmington.

Hi Cole,
I always use Private node numbers that begin with the digit one ("1"), such
as 1211, 1212, 1261, 1262, etc. Nodes starting with "1" are private and part
of the standard AllStar configuration.
