Doug,

 

Thanks for the pointers.  I found the scripts and see you used the Google
translate.  But I'm sure your scripts will automate the process much better
than going direct.

Cole,

 You create a text file of what you want to say. Then call it with
ttsaudio.sh

ttsaudio.sh mytextfile

It creates a ulaw file that you can play.

There is a howto on the web page - hamvoip.org - scroll down to the bottom
where the howto links are.

Subject: [arm-allstar] Text to voice

In the BBB distro I just loaded Doug included text-to-speech translation for
ID's.  How can I access that function to make more .gsm files for other
ID's?  Searching on the web all I find from Google is an Android app to do
it.

 

Really a neat way to do it.  Thanks, Doug.
