[arm-allstar] simpleUSB - simple question ??

Ian,
In simpleusb Allstar has no knowledge or control of PL tones, it is all done in the radio and the COS line from the radio to Allstar should follow the tone input to the radio.
The 888's are programmable for tones. I use chirp with a programming cable. If you have a Kenwoodd cable like for a THF6 etc. it will work. Chirp can be made to work on windows or a graphic Linux like Ubuntu. Then modify the radio to bring out the COS line like here -

Setup simpleusb for carrierfrom=usb restart asterisk, set your levels, and you should be good to go. What ever PL you program into the 888 will activate the COS line when a signal comes in that includes it. You could even use DCS if you like.
Changing PL's or to DCS in the radio has nothing to do with Allstar and nothing would have to be changed in any configuration file.
