Eric,
Every amateur radio transmitter is required to ID at 10 minute intervals assuming it was keyed at sometime during the prior 10 minutes. This is true of a repeater or simplex node. You have the option of a CW ID or voice ID. If using a voice ID the ID talkover command in rpt.conf will stop the voice ID and continue with the CW ID.

Subject: [arm-allstar] ID
Noticing My Hub node 28302 which is in simplex mode (duplex=0) is IDing when a connected nodekey's it up after 10 minutes of no activity. Is there a setting I'm missing? I didn't think it was supposedto ID in simplex mode. The ID does however disappear when connected node unkeys. Eric (N7JYS) Marshall's Communications
