Also make sure that in /etc/asterisk/modules.conf has this line -
;noload=chan_echolink.so
The line has to have a ; before it as shown to comment it out. This is the way the BBB and RPi2 should be by default. Make sure it is that way. If that was not commented you would not see the echolink command in the client and it obviously would not work.

Well, I thought I knew how to do this... but apparently not.
Steps for making Echolink work on the Pi:
(1) Configure the echolink file with the appropriate information for your node(2) Rename the file echolink.conf(3) Reload / reboot to make the file active(4) Wait until Echolink picks up the node info
What am I missing?
