Hi Joel,

Okay, interesting issue--particularly since repeated audio
(MSF RX -> URI -> BBB -> URI -> MSF TX) sounds normal.

Have you tried logging the incoming VoIP audio using the "archivedir" 
statement in the node stanza? Then, listen to the resulting .wav files for 
choppyness/distortion on in-bound VoIP audio? (It's worth testing...)

Also, in your current config (using simpleusb), I'm assuming the PL tone
is generated by the repeater internal controller?
