[arm-allstar] Interesting issue with new BBB

Greg,

Usually these issues are because the COS and/or PTT phase is not correct. That can cause the system to do strange things. carrierfrom=usb or usbinvert and invertptt=0 or 1

The first test would be to go into the client - asterisk -rvvv - and type the command

susb key

Does the transmitter or repeater key?

Then type

susb unkey

Does the transmitter or repeater unkey?

It this works correctly then I would try changing the phase of carrierfrom in simpleusb.conf - assuming you are using that bit on the URI - pin 8 cor-det.

If the PTT is inverted - keys when you tpye unkey and unkeys when you type key then you need to change the PTT phase in simpleusb.conf

You did not mention if this is a completely new install with the repeater or if you had a PC based Allstar system connected in the past and it was working correctly. If it is a new installation then you might be fighting some hardware issues with the interface to your repeater.

Also are you using the the stock config files modified for your node or did you copy files from somewhere else?

This must be something in a config file, but I
can't find it!

My node is a URI running simpleusb and is set up as
a repeater using the URI as the controller. Everyuthing works
perfect, EXCEPT, when I disconnect the node from anything, after the
announcement the transmitter stays up! It won't drop until you kerchunk
the repeater, then it drops after the usual 3 second tail. When
connecting, it has no issues.

Any ideas?

Thanks and 73 de Greg
