[arm-allstar] WiFi With BBB?

John,
We may have been down this road before but is there a way to get wired Ethernet off of the router or is there a router you can get that has wired Ethernet for your service? That would always be the way to go with the BBB as it would be a whole lot easier and avoid a hub and wifi adapter. I am assuming this is not a connection problem you have in general with everything you are trying to connect but just the BBB on wifi??

It looks like I'm fighting a losing battle trying to use 4G LTE-based Internet service for Allstar/Echolink. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...
This is extremely disappointing since cell phone data service is my only means of access to the Internet as a full-time RVer.
I've been attempting to use a Verizon-based hotspot with limited success. Yesterday, I gave up my 'unlimited' data account on my iPhone just to see if ATT data service was any better. It's not. In fact, I have more packet loss with ATT (63% during a ping test just now).
If anyone knows any tweaks to make the best of a bad situation, I'd love to hear 'em.

I am using WiFi on one of my nodes. I tried my phones hot spot, but too much packet issues. If I am using WiFi home network, I get good results.
I'll be sending out set information later about setting up WIFi with the BBB.

I setup wifi using wpa supplicant. Works fine using edimax usb wifi.
Problem with BBB is it only has 1 usb port so you would need a usb hub. Im using a small non powered one and works ok, but sometimes wifi just plain doesnt want to connect.

Anyone using their BBB with a usb wifi adaptor? Doing so might help me simplify my mobile node setup if I could connect directly to my Wifi Hotspot rather than going through an additional router. Any thoughts?
