When one installs IRLP, a node number is automatically generated. At that
point one emails installs at irlp.net to tell them about the board you bought.
The safest path is to buy a board, install the software, get a node number
and then transfer it into your Allstar. Put the board in a nice safe place-
it never needs to be hooked up. It's the right thing to do if you want to
play IRLP.
