Good job!
I did an install on an old HP Proliant server I picked up at ham fest. I used the distro they had up on allstarlink.org. I copied my supermon stuff over from one of My Pi's and it sorta worked! I didn't do an "install" from the library - I just copied stuff over and edited the config files, etc... Which probably wasn't the right thing to do... But it worked! Sorta... :)

But how did you get it to load up the nodelist? All of the connected nodes on my supermon screens say "someones private node".
And when I am logged into it, the line up top that usually has a lot of useful info isn't populated - like this:
[ ] [ WAN IP: ] [ AstP: ; NOTE: bindport must be specified BEFORE ] [ MgrP:5038 ] [ SShP: ]

Do I need to find a proper "install" tutorial? I know there is some stuff I probably need to go edit to make it work but I don't have much of an idea where to look or what config files to edit...
Other than that, my nodes can connect and disconnect to this HP Proliant with no problems.... It's been up a few months in the shack without a single hiccup OR even a reboot!
I "wanted" to put this server at a remote site with a FAST internet connection to give my main "hub node" a bit more horsepower than a Raspberry Pi. Although the pi's have been running great, loading it up with a bunch of different hub nodes and a lot of connections seems to tax the capabilities of the Pi. But until I can get stuff like Supermon working on it, like I like it (fully functional), I hesitate to deploy it at a remote site that is a pain to get to in order to do maintenance "locally". I want it 100% working before I put it out there!
Any help or advice would be MUCH appreciated!

Subject: [pc-allstar] Supermon and PC based Allstar
In preparation of the release of hamvoip for a PC I " had a go " last
week at running Supermon on a PC.
There have been one or two questions on the other mail list regarding
the use of Supermon on a PC; if you have a PC based version of Allstar I
would say, go ahead and install Supermon.
The experience will help you understand how things work in preparation
for the " real thing ".
You can see my effort at [ http://jedham.dyndns.org:88 ]

Ian..
