I am attaching the schematic of the interface which I re-did several years ago. This allows the connection of both audio and data to the radio you are using. I do not have this radio nor have I used the interface. Hi David,

Yes, I've used several different radios with hamlib and it works well.

I'm sure you realize that the TM-V7A is a 20+ year old radio and aren't
readily available for acquisition by a new user. I've got a couple TM-G707A
radios which I use with hamlib, using the adapter interface that Jim Dixon
designed years ago. Here is a link showing info about this interface:

https://wiki.allstarlink.org/wiki/Cable_Adapter_Card_for_TMG-707A

The TM-G707A radios are not readily found, either, of course.

My recommendation would be to be prepared to do some research and
experimenation....Or, get a currently available radio that has advertised
support.
that’s on the hamvoip. Has anyone done that with another radio? Just
trying to get an idea how to do it and how it’s controlled.
