One goes to a dual band 144 MHz / 440 MHz rig, the other to an HF rig. Admittedly, you would need control signals in addition to audio, PTT and COS.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The rPi would easily have the horsepower to handle the digitized audio to/from <b class="">both</b> rigs, as well as control signals.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Why not do a similar setup at home. A ham shack where the nucleus is a Raspberry Pi. Audio can be distributed via Bluetooth, over WiFi or wired networks to/from any desired room in the house. Or location in yard. Or via a dedicated low-power 440 link to/from an HT.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Client iPads, Macs, PCs, iPhones, etc. can attach to a desired rig and audio stream. They can do digitized audio, or a variety of digital modes.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Any client can monitor on a given frequency at a programmable time, to catch nets and short-wave broadcasts of interest. Probably better to use iPad to keep car nav/music free for... well... nav and music. <br class=""><br class="">- iPad keeps track of times for nets and favorite short-wave programs. It reminds pilot and/or records them. <br class=""><br class="">- system is totally modular. These boards are so<br class="">cheap and draw such little energy it pays to just setup another board. If<br class="">you have another Pi3 try loading Ubuntu mate on it. These boards are so<br class="">cheap and draw such little energy it pays to just setup another board. If<br class="">you have another Pi3 try loading Ubuntu mate on it. Free download on the<br class="">Internet.
