I have not done it before, but the cable looks fine.

Is you RC210 set for active low on the PTT and COS on port 3?

When you receive on your repeater, does the PTT light on Port 3 on the RC210 light up?

If not, did you link the Port your repeater is on and the Port 3 on the RC210?

Kindest Regards
I made node 43801 using a Pi3 and URI. It is connected to port 3 of an Arcom RC210 Controller. The Controller is on the W9LKI repeater 147.105 and the system is fully functional for a long time. I can SSH into the node. I can connect to 43801 using my personal node 42119 and it shows connected on the Allstar Node Stats page. I used simpleusb-tune-menu item 2 to set the level as I have on other nodes I have built. When I try to DTMF or Voice call into the repeater it is not heard (meaning *3---- connect) or seen on the CLI. Activity by other nodes elicits a response on the CLI when they are connected.

The simpleusb.conf is set up as follows

eeprom=0
rxboost=0
txmixb=composite

invertptt=0

The node/controller uses the DMK Eng URI pinouts as follows:

URI dB25 Controller dB9

pin 1=ptt ............................. .......................pin 7=cos in

pin 22=left AC (what I call Rx Audio) ............pin 5=Rx Audio input from radio

Any help the group can provide as to set up of RC210 and suitability of the above settings would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
Subject: [arm-allstar] Allstar Jamboree on the Air??

I have been contacted by several stations expressing interest in some kind of JOTA Allstar connection. JOTA ir Jamboree on the Air is an international scouting event which will be held the weekend of October 14-16, 2016. Connecting scouts from all over the world it is typically held on the HF bands but with band conditions down especially HF DX it might be a good idea to consider Allstar.

I can offer a hub to do this if there is interest. Please let me know if there might be interest in your area. We would select dates and time periods for contacts. If you are connected to scouting or have a scouting group in your area that might want to participate please let me know.

This would be good PR for amateur radio and for Allstar and we might get some new young hams

Below is information on the event.
Get Ready to File Your JOTA Station Report
Last year we had 400 stations register but only 200 stations file a report. We're going to improve that this year. Icom America and Ray Novak, N9JA, have stepped up to help us with considerable incentive.

Every station that files a report will be entered into a drawing for an Icom ID-51A Plus Ultraviolet HT as the grand prize. Five runners up will receive an Icom America Ham Crew T-Shirt. These prizes are for the station. It's up to you to determine who gets it or how you share it. Only BSA stations are eligible.

Of course, everyone who files a report will receive the 2016 Jamboree on the Air Certificate.

We'll provide access to the reporting system right before JOTA weekend. Reports are due November 1, with the prize drawing held that week.

Designate someone on your team to collect the information needed for your report and follow the best practices noted below to make sure your report truly captures your event.

Thank you Icom America for your continued support to Scouting.
Online JOTA Station Spotting and Scheduling

In addition to the DX spotting websites and systems, there is a Scout station spotting cluster at http://www.pi4raz.nl/jotacluster/cluster.php This may be a good way to see who's on the air and their frequency.

Dave Edwards, KD2E, and Andy O'Brien, K3UK, have developed a Scout scheduling page at http://www.obriensweb.com/sked/index.php?board=scouts You can use this to post your frequency and to pick up on other stations as well.
Icom Scout Loan Stations

Icom America has provided 10 complete stations for loan to local councils since 2012. They are now in the process of updating the kits, replacing the IC-7200 with the IC-7300. We feel that the IC-7300 is a superb transceiver for demonstrating amateur radio to Scouts. With it's touch screen and spectrum display, it meets Scouts where they live, with their smartphone.

If you're interested in applying for a loan station for your council event, you'll learn more and find the application at Icom Station Loans.
