RPi 3 still shows the same behavior although not as often. I've now
changed the power supply and am still seeing the same issue. The last
thing on my list is the interface but I don't have a spare so that's
going to be tough to test.<br>
<br>
It seems to only crash asterisk when initially connecting to a remote
node and as soon as asterisk restarts, the connection works fine.<br>
<br>

Yes, I do use the checksum to ensure that I don't have a corrupt
download.<br>
<br>
Problem still exists using the newest image on a new SD card.<br>
<br>
I have a new RPi3 on the desk so I'll plug that in and see if I can
start to narrow it down to a HW fault...<br>

should do a checksum test after you download the image. Checksums for
all the releases in zipped and image form are on the website with the
downloads. Of course checksums only apply to a virgin image not one you
