The two nodes were kind of on different LANS. I have a /29 subnet from my ISP, and I have multiple network set up in my home office. The primary node is on my normal LAN. I plugged the second node into the Comcast gateway and let it pick up a DHCP address on the Comcast private LAN (different from my private LAN). I suspect the IAX packets were getting confused in the gateway.<o:p></o:p></span></a></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>I backed off of that, set up a real second network off of the Comcast box so that there is no NAT on the hop between the Comcast device and my two internal routers, and all is working. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>So, I was confusing it with my configuration.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>I now have two nodes – one using a URIx, and one using an adapter from arsrepeaters.com. The goal is for the arsrepeaters.com node to be a portable node using an HT. So far I’ve tried it with a Wouxon UV-8D and a Baofeng UV5R.
