<div><div dir="ltr"><font color="#000000" face="Tahoma,sans-serif">I thought about that but there is no easy way. You would have to modify rpt.conf then reload it. Then modify it afterwards and reload it. It could be done in a script but that would be up to the user. I don't want to get into modifying user files.<br><br>An good option that would work is to setup a pseudo node and run it from there with holdofftelem=0. Actually you could have all telemetry set to off. Connect that node to whatever other nodes on the server you want to play it on. I have it running on a hub here that has no radios and most telem turned off so the setting holdofftelem=0 has no consequences. It is never a bad idea to run things like this on a pseudo node though. It doesn't even have to be a registered node. Use some node number less than 2000. No need to waste a registered node.<br></font><span><br><b><font style="font-size:16pt;" size="4">73 Doug</font><font style="font-size:16pt;" size="4"><br></font><font style="font-size:16pt;" size="4">WA3DSP</font><font style="font-size:16pt;" size="4"><br></font><font style="font-size:16pt;" size="4"><a href="http://www.crompton.com/hamradio" target="_blank">http://www.crompton.com/hamradio</a></font></b><font style="font-size:16pt;" size="4"><br></font><br><br></span><div><hr>Date: Mon, 31 Aug 2015 22:42:13 -0500<span><br>From: <a href="mailto:w0kgw3@gmail.com" target="_blank">w0kgw3@gmail.com</a><br>To: <a href="mailto:arm-allstar@hamvoip.org" target="_blank">arm-allstar@hamvoip.org</a><br>Subject: Re: [arm-allstar] playnews-0.6<br><br></span><div><div class="h5"><div dir="ltr">Doug,<div><br></div><div>Is there a way to add a command into the script to execute the holdofftelem=0 setting for the duration of the news playback, then set it back to what it was before?</div><div><br></div><div>Cheers,</div><div>Joel</div><div>W0KGW</div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div>
