I'll look again tonight. I really don't want to "get rid" rid of the BBB since it does work. I had thought about buying a RPI2 to interface into my motorola local remotes I have all over my house.

Then an announcement it is starting at the time you selected, then the news. It is just using bash scripting. You are specifying a time like 21:01 etc. right? HH:MM in 24 hour time. It is possible that sox is a different version but that should not effect the pre announcements.

I am really surprised it is not working on the BBB. If you are using V1.0 you should really upgrade to 1.2.1 as there are significant updates there especially in the USB which had serious stability problems in version 1.0. Better yet for $35 upgrade to an RPi2!

73 Doug
WA3DSP
http://www.crompton.com/hamradio

Date: Mon, 10 Aug 2015 07:55:19 -0400
From: N1XBM@amsat.org
To: arm-allstar@hamvoip.org
Subject: Re: [arm-allstar] ARRL news

Doug, I've successfully run it from cron and manually. It says news will play in 20 seconds. There is dead air for a few minutes and it jumps in at the start of the first story. I miss the introduction. The same thing happens with the last two segments. All of the break audio and conclusion audio segments play. It is as if the audio files are not being processed correctly. I think I've done everything correctly I did not modify your files except changing the node number from 1998 to 41812. My guess is that my BBB doesn't have all of the same software as the RPI2. I am also running the image from your website I believe I'm running version 1.0...I downloaded it over a year ago and haven't done anything with it.
