What would really be useful is to have a BT (bluetooth) plugged into USB and talk to the RPI via a terminal emulator on my android phone. Since it isn't an ethernet connection via the internet, SSH security isn't really necessary. USB <-> BTLE modules are ~$5 on ebay. Linux ought to be able to deal with the USB device.
