<DIV>Doug I think you found the root cause. I am estimating it is taking me
about 0.5 seconds per digit and if I try to enter a long code, it times out on
me until I do it faster. Making this a configurable variable would be nice
unless you want to code a simple speech command decoder script. A person would
hit one DTMF digit which then would record local received audio till the cos
line goes false, then use the audio to create a command text string which could
be passed on for decoding.</DIV>

did a little more testing and it appears the digit timeout is fixed to 3

that does not seem to apply to entering function commands.<BR><BR>If that is the
case we will have to look at making that settable for a future update.<BR><BR>I
understand your problem with this having the sight disability. Perhaps setting
up macros would help Then you can use two or three digit commands with known
locations on the keypad. Macros start with *5. So *511 *512
*513, etc. could be mapped to longer commands. <BR

<DIV>Interesting. However if I enter a long node number slowly I only get a
single beep. If I enter the code fast I get my connection. So it appears that
the dtmf has a fixed time to enter the digits? thoughts??</DIV>
