If the system is hung, and it rarely if ever does, then just power down and back up. I decided that a halt was more needed so that is why I added a halt button which works much like holding the power switch in on a PC only it does an orderly Linux shutdown.<br><br><a href="http://crompton.com/hamradio/RPi2_halt_switch/" target="_blank">http://crompton.com/hamradio/RPi2_halt_switch/</a><br><br>The code is in the V1.0 RPi2 version. You just need to activate it in the /usr/local/etc/allstar.env file and add the switch.<br><br>You need to push and hold the button for 6 seconds. It will then announce the shutdown on the radio and shutdown.<br><br>This is useful when you are at a site and need to orderly shut the RPi2 down.
