That is taken care of very well by the router assuming you are not running your BBB or RPi2 in the DMZ or forwarding crazy ports to it.<br id="FontBreak"></font><br><font style="" face="Tahoma,sans-serif">The ssh port does NOT have to be port forwarded in the router unless you want or need external control of your BBB or RPi2 outside of your LAN. </font><br><br><font style="" face="Tahoma,sans-serif">The default ssh port is 222. Nano ssh_config</p>
<p dir="ltr">I then found port 222 and changed it to 1978</p>
<p dir="ltr">I tried service ssh restart...no joy<br>
Restart sshd.service...nothing<br>
Reboot ssh</p>
<p dir="ltr">Server by the look of things just rebooted. </p>
<p dir="ltr">So my guess is I need to get out the monitor and connect it. Can anyone help me out of the ditch here?</p>
<p dir="ltr">I was able to accomplish this no problem on my RPI2 but that was a plex media server. I must of made a typo somehow. Port 222 also does not work.</p>
