have a 1uV receive sensitivity. Only by adding a preamp can one improve. But
they also have poor adjacent channel selectivity. Adding a preamp only adds to a

would like to point out that the specifications for both are available and in
the case of D-STAR there are functional options that can be used with any radio
to create both a repeater and an end user radio, plus there are other radios in
development that will support it. I will also point out that some folks take the
"experimentation" part of ham radio seriously and that we accept that not

bridged to anything else in numerous ways but I was wondering why you would
want to mess up our wonderful Allstar audio with crappy Dstar audio?
Personally I don't want to hear any of the current amateur digital audio on
Allstar. A circuit is only as good as its worst audio! That being said you
can do anything you want but if I hear that kind of audio on any circuit I
