I have never played with an Xcat interface board, but, it interfaces with<br>

the case, I expect you could use multiple USB serial adapters and a USB<br>
hub for the hardware interface with the BBB. Then, use the hamlib tools<br>
(already installed in BBB firmware version 1.2.1 and later) as the<br>
software interface to communicate with C-IV. Minimally, the hamlib tools<br>
would provide you with a method to test the interfacing with the Xcat.<br>
Then, once you know that works, experiment with Asterisk remote-base<br>
control or, (preferably to me) setup DTMF macros to call hamlib and issue<br>
commands.<br>
