Thanks for the reply's.<br>

If this system was connected to another echolink system or allstar
link system then I certainly would not want to send messages to
linked systems. But it looks like if I wanted to do so it should
be able to do it. We have plans to link a couple of local
repeaters together and I could see it sending announcements across
links at times.<br>
<br>
Even the links you gave me show that telemetry should be able to
go to echolink.<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://docs.allstarlink.org/drupal/node/125">http://docs.allstarlink.org/drupal/node/125</a><br>
This shows "<i>There are 5 telemetry channels which can be
individually managed:</i>"<br>
This shows Echolink to be a telemetry channel.<br>
<br>
Is telemetry only "beeps" or is audio from playback and local play
considered telemetry?<br>
<br>
Thanks,<br>

<p dir="ltr">You've probably got lots if replies... but I
don't think sending audio is possible to echolink users.</p>
<p dir="ltr">You can try this ...<br>

/var/lib/asterisk/sounds/ for sound files. If you have a
sub-dir under there then it needs to be defined. <br>
Ie: ../sounds/local-files/filename.gsm<br>
Would only have to be called in the command as
local-files/filename<br>
Note that the .gsm extension is not needed, either.<br>

#ccc solid;padding-left:1ex;">I have an Allstar Link
repeater node (41741) running on bbb. It has been running
for a couple of weeks and works well.<br>
<br>
I have a couple of issues I would like to resolve.<br>
<br>
1) I have echolink node (347194) configured and working
on the bbb.<br>
The echolink users can connect and talk to the repeater
users.<br>
<br>
I am trying to figure out how to enable the repeater
courtesy beep to the echolink users that are connected.<br>
In the default install there is no telementary sent to the
echolink side at all other than voice from the repeater
side.<br>
<br>
Do I need something in rpt.conf for this to work?<br>
<br>
<br>
2) I would also like to be able to have the repeater id
messages sent to the echolink side.<br>
<br>
I can execute this: asterisk -rx "rpt localplay 41741
/etc/asterisk/local/node-id" and it will play the id on
the repeater.<br>
<br>
If I execute this: asterisk -rx "rpt localplay 347194
/etc/asterisk/local/node-id" I get nothing on the echolink
side.<br>
<br>
The asterisk command link only shows:<br>
"Remote UNIX connection"<br>
"Remote UNIX connection disconnected"<br>
<br>
It does not show that it is playing the node-id file.<br>
<br>
Do I need to add anything in rpt.conf for the echolink
node number?<br>
<br>
Thanks,<br>
