They make quality PL encoders and decoder/encoders in the $30-$55 range. The TS64-WDS is probably what you would want. Most commercial and amateur repeaters have PL built-in but for those that don't a board like this could be added. <br id="FontBreak"></font><br><font style="" face="Tahoma,sans-serif">http://www.com-spec.com/</font><font style="" face="Tahoma,sans-serif"><br></font><font style="" face="Tahoma,sans-serif"><br></font><font style="" face="Tahoma,sans-serif"><a href="http://www.com-spec.com/tone_signaling/ts_order.html" target="_blank"><a href="http://www.com-spec.com/tone_signaling/ts_order.html" target="_blank">http://www.com-spec.com/tone_signaling/ts_order.html</a></a></font><font style="" face="Tahoma,sans-serif"><br></font><font style="" face="Tahoma,sans-serif"><br></font><font style="" face="Tahoma,sans-serif">I have not been to the site in awhile but it looks like they have some new neat things not related to just tone signaling.</font><br><br><b><font style="font-size:16pt;" size="4">73 Doug</font><font style="font-size:16pt;" size="4"><br></font><font style="font-size:16pt;" size="4">WA3DSP</font><font style="font-size:16pt;" size="4"><br></font><font style="font-size:16pt;" size="4">http://www.crompton.com/hamradio</font></b><font style="font-size:16pt;" size="4"><br></font><br><br><div><hr id="stopSpelling">Date: Sat, 21 Feb 2015 21:09:30 -0500<br>From: N1XBM@amsat.org<br>To: arm-allstar@hamvoip.org<br>Subject: [arm-allstar] PL encode/decode<br><br><p dir="ltr">I recently went to a site to install my BBB onto a MSR2000. I made what appears a huge error in my planning. Currently the repeater is controlled by a zetron repeaterman which encodes and decodes my PL. My only experience with allstar prior to this BBB was a ACID OS using USB radio. </p>
<p dir="ltr">So I didn't realize this until I was at the site trying to figure out where my PL tones go. The only thing I can think of is getting hardware to make PL and install it into the repeater. It was decided to use a PC we had on hand and use USB radio. Rather than adding equipment to the repeater for PL.</p>
<p dir="ltr">So my question is if I have a repeater that I want to use a BBB on in the future. What do I need to do? I am not talking about two mobile radios. I'm talking about real repeater stations like mastr ii.</p>
