Hi Bill,<br>
<br>
Thanks. That is one of the articles that I've read about the
TM-V71A configured for Allstar.<br>
<br>
Menu 520 (SQC output type) is set to (SQL)<br>
<br>
So it looks like this is the correct setting. Now I'll have to
monitor the COR-DET pin on the URIx connector to make sure that it
is sending the correct un-key signal.<br>

<p class="MsoPlainText">Hi Everyone,<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText">If anyone is using a Kenwood TM-V71A
radio for their node I would like to compare menu 520, the SQC
Output Setting to make sure that mine is set correctly. I am
using the rear 6 pin din data connector in the back of the
radio. The SQC pin is connected to the COR -DET pin of the
URIx connector.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoPlainText">Here are the selections for menu 520.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoPlainText">Set the SQC output activation method to

<p class="MsoPlainText">• OFF: SQC output remains inactive.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText">• BUSY: When a signal is received on the
data band, the SQC output becomes active.<o:p></o:p></p>

matching signal is received, the SQC output becomes active.

becomes active.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoPlainText">Everything that I've read about this
radio and Allstar is the setting should be SQL and that is
where it's set. Also, I have the radio control knob set fully
counter clockwise, set to unscquelch. My tone and ctcss are
both set.<o:p></o:p></p>
