For remotetx courtesy beep, I can get it to do a morse code character but was trying to add a custom tone here that was made from and mp3.  

I seen this for the Voice ct which I am thinking it would be the same for any say gsm or wav file, but I am guessing there is something more like remotetx=etc/asterisk/local/customnamefile - ? but this format doesn't do anything

To send a voice file as a courtesy tone use this syntax -
ct8=|/etc/asterisk/local/ct-unkey
This would send the audio file ct-unkey in /etc/asterisk/local at the end of a network connected transmission.
The audio file would be named the format it is filename.ul, gsm, etc. but the extent is never used when
specifying the file.
