Does this app rely on using the "web-transcieve” portal?
Web transceive is used for the authentication portion, I.E. the login.
Thus, you use your Allstarlink.org credentials, not a node number. BTW,
DVSM 2.0 also has WT mode as one of it's options. Hold down the D key to
bring up a menu to setup/login with WT, or exit WT mode if you are
already using it.
When you authenticate Repeaterphone with your Allstarlink.org
username/password, a token is downloaded to your device.
Can it connect directly to an AllStar node without using
"web-transcieve”, a la DVSwitch?
When you connect to a node, it is peer-to-peer from your phone to the
node, though it uses the allstar-public context, the same as used by Web
Transceive, not like DVSM 2.0's node mode, which registers as a
stand-alone node and uses the radio-secure context.
