Hi Matt
the way I do all my auto connects and disconnects is via cron.
First of I set up my macros in rpt config in the macros section/stanza [macrosNODE#], example:
12=*73OTHERNODE *73MYNODE *73MYLOCALNODE# ; Connect nodes
Then on cron is use the following line to call that macro:
10 08 * * 2,4 /usr/sbin/asterisk -rx "rpt fun 51686 *512"
so for all my connects disconnects etc I have entries in cron, I have tried to use the rpt.conf but that I never got it right on a couple of nodes. So I kept it to cron for control.
Hope this helps you somewhat

Subject: [arm-allstar] Auto Disconnect/connect scripts
Hi all,
I have been playing with some auto disconnect and connect scripts and for the life of me can not get anything to work. I am looking to first disconnect all nodes, then connect up two specific nodes. I understand the cronjob part but I think I am getting the script wrong.The path to the .sh file is in the cron below. I have chmod 750 the file and just cant get it to disconnect nodes or connect nodes. I am not getting an errors when I run the file. Mu node number is where it says MYNODE and the nodes that I want to connect to are NODE1 and NODE2. Can anyone assist as to where I am going wrong?
Thanks,Matt - ke0ncp
# 42 22 * * 3 /etc/asterisk/local/autoDisco.sh#/usr/sbin/asterisk -rx "rpt fun MYNODE *76"/usr/sbin/asterisk -rx "rpt fun MYNODE *73NODE1"/usr/sbin/asterisk -rx "rpt fun MYNODE *73NODE2"
