[arm-allstar] DSTAR

Hi David:

I don't have an existing image that isn't "dirty"/highly customized for
my setup.

For a DSTAR bridge, you'll need DVSwitch running along-side either ASL
or HamVoIP, and a vocoder dongle -- NWDigital DV3000 or DVMega
DVstick30. These are basically the same. The DV3000 is manufactured in
the U.S. and the DVstick is not. Get which ever is cheapest. I have some
of both. They look and perform exactly the same. I have no idea about
current availability, but I know that it was pretty hard to get either
of them for quite a while last year.

You can add DVSwitch to an existing HamVoIP node. This is perhaps best
done on a fresh HamVoIP image, but can be integrated into an existing
one just fine.

There is a DVSwitch Server image on dvswitch.org somewhere

I've never used it, so I don't know if it comes with ASL or not. If it
doesn't, it should be easy enough to install ASL from their package
repository.

You can also install all the components yourself on other Linux
distributions.

Regardless of what method you use for installation, I recommend reading
the DVSwitch Server manual, as there is a bit of stuff going on to make
it work. Finding an existing image probably won't save you a lot of time
in the long run, in this case, unless *everything* is already configured
for you.
