I should add that this will require a reload or a full restart of asterisk.

Both nodes need to know the local ip of the other node.
You do this by adding an entry into the [nodes] stanza of rpt.conf  If you had nodes 12345 (ip of 192.168.1.100) and 54321(192.168.1.101) on your local network...
rpt.conf for 54321 would have...
[nodes]<snip>
12345 = radio at 192.168.1.100:4569/12345,NONE

Hello all,
I am setting up a second node here on a separate pi and running into some issues. I am not able to get the two nodes to connect to each other. I am however able to get them both to connect out to any other node. So I am assuming it is an issue with them being on the same network?
I changed all the ports on the second pi, its reporting to Allstar and I can control it with Supermon just can my my two nodes to actually connect to each other.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,Matt - ke0ncp
