Dave,

Well, I'm not sure what fixed your echolink issue.....

The confmode= parameter hasn't been included in any chan_echolink codebase 
for at least 6 years.  That parameter has never been in HamVoIP.

....My guess is there is some typo in the config file that got corrected, 
one way or another.
