I think is very cool! I've seen a couple YouTube videos of people adding
the full interactive Google Assistant to their setup as well but there was
no documentation.

Hi Everyone,
For those users experimenting with the new Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W hardware,
I've now got my board up and running the HamVoIP image, at this point,
including full WiFi support.
Experimentally, I went ahead and enabled cpu_turbo, so the Z2W is running
at 1200Mhz. No heating or other issues at all, so far.
I need to test the updated firmware pack against all my test boards. Once
complete, I'll release it as a pacman update. Assuming no issues are
found (and I doubt there will be), I'll release the update in the next
few days.
....These are really nifty little boards! Hopefully they'll become
readily available soon!

David:
Would it at all be possible to do what Raspberry Pi OS does, and allow
the user to upload a properly formatted wpa_supplicant file to the FAT
partition, and have it moved to
/etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant_custom-wlan0.conf on boot, if it
exists? This would be great for a headless setup using a Pi Zero 2 W in
the event one can't connect a display or Ethernet... a situation I
currently find myself in.
I can mount the image on another Linux machine and put the file there
myself, but this would be especially nice for boards like the Zero 2 W
and 3 A Plus.

Yes, I agree that an easier WiFi setup method is desirable for the 3A+ and
Z2W. I've already been thinking about solutions for this.

Thank You for the info, Zero Tier works really well and is easy to set up.
Just a FYI the version on my laptop is 1.8.3 and I updated the raspberry
before starting and it shows as 1.8.2
I was used to connecting to the static IP of the raspberry via the VPN
Router so it took me a few minutes to realize the IP to use for putty and
WinSCP is the new IP shown in Zero Tier connection.
Again Thank You, I like this forum and the ability to learn and share.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the positive comments and feedback.
ZeroTier is definitely a nice tool in the network building toolkit and is
VERY useful for private or deeply-hidden-by-NAT AllStar networks.
I looked the changelog over for 1.8.3 and didn't see anything that looked
significant for usage on the HamVoIP/ARM platform; the changes /
enhancements mainly being other platforms (like the Apple Mac).
