Hi folks,
I was trying to dig through all the threads on setting up a couple of private nodes but didn't see any reference to a how-to guide. Let me know if there is a doc I should be reading through on this.
But, my setup is pretty straight forward.
Both nodes are in the 1900 range .... 1973 and 1974 respectively.
They are on the same IP private network (so I can ping and ssh between them with no issues).
As stand alone repeater controllers they are working great. Just want to permanently link them.
I assume I'll need to list each node in rpt.conf under the [nodes] section?Do I need to leave the loopback address for the local node? So on 1973, do I leave the loopback 127.0.0.1 or do I change that to its ethernet interface?
Of course, 1974 is the remote one, so I set the address accordingly.
[nodes]
1973 = radio at 127.0.0.1/1973,NONE
1974 = radio at 10.0.0.144/1974,NONE
BTW, there is a 1999 node listed there too. Is that just an artifact of the setup script?
IAX.conf has the default port binding of 4569.
Any other setups? I assume there is a macro needed to connect them as permanent nodes?
Thanks for the help.
