Hi Chris,
We are here in the ARM-Allstar email group so I assume you want to run
"dosbox" on your Raspberry Pi running ARM-Allstar.
Presumably, you want to control an older radio such as a Philips/Simoco PRM-80.
Firstly, "dosbox" by default opens a GUI window on your X display console.
How I use it is like this:
1) My main system is Linux with a 24" display.
2) I connect to the PI with "ssh -Y mst3box" from a terminal window.
(This allows a GUI program on "mst3box" to display on my 24" display.)
3) After installing "dosbox", I just run it as a user (not root) with:
prompt$ dosbox
and a GUI window appears on my main Linux box 24" screen with the
"welcome to DOSbox" and the "Z:\>" prompt.
What more do you need to know?
BTW: My "main" system is NOT Windows.
(Actually, "mst3box" is a Banana Pi M2 Berry and a MST3 kit HF transceiver)
(with a 128Gb SSD on the SATA port)
