Steve, In my opinion, the reason you may be getting double announcements is because you are connecting via RF. You are getting the first from the timed event, and the second from the rf keyup.  The reason why you may not get it all the time may be because of the timers not being reset in the cycle.  Sound logical? Rich

I have enabled telemetry so that my Autosky alerts will function but I want
to remove the courtesy tone as this is a remote based linked via RF and I
do not want to send the CT over the repeater that it is linked to as it has
its own controller and courtesy tones.

I have set in rpt.conf nounkeyct=1 which I think should turn off courtesy
tones unless I am missing something here.

Any ideas?
